The Brand
Founded by Peter Kolks and Ric van Rest, Pop Trading Company has evolved from a distributor of skate brands into a highly acclaimed label. With a strong commitment to the culture, they have built a strong connection within their community, establishing themselves as influential and integral players in the scene.
History
The foundation of Pop dates back to 2003 when Peter and Ric both worked in skateshops. Around this time, Kolks was sponsored by skate store 24/7, where he also worked part-time. This lifestyle eventually led him to quit school and make the decision to strike out on his own. After several years as a successful distributor for brands such as Palace, Magenta Skateboards, and Quartersnacks, the company launched its first collection in the fall/winter 2016 season. From the outset, the brand set an ambitious goal: to collaborate with the best skateboard shops and menswear retailers globally. Today, that list of partners is more extensive than ever.
The Collection
This season's collection includes standout pieces like the heavyweight wool blend Varsity Jacket, presented in a warm off-white with a hint of beige. Reversible pieces such as the Adam Jacket, Safari Vest, and the new Fleece Vest offer versatility to your wardrobe.
The t-shirt collection showcases curated seasonal graphics, including artwork by BABY RENI. Headwear includes Flexfoam six-panel hats with a water-repellent finish and POP’s classic O six-panel hats.
